Current Mood: On Holiday

Lately it seems almost all of my inspiration comes from Instagram, in fact, it is my number one tool for finding homes and other content for Adore Home. Here’s a little taste of what’s currently inspiring me.

You could say anything holiday-related is what I’ve been gravitating towards lately, I mean it’s summer afterall. It has been so difficult, especially at this time of year when the weather is so warm, to focus on work. I’d much rather be outside, but the next best thing is scrolling through my feed and soaking up all of that summer inspo. Kyal and Kara are my favourites at the moment – their recent renovation project at Long Jetty is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Their inspiration was Palm Springs, so of course I’m obsessed with the whole home, in particular the outdoor pool area and those Breeze Blocks. Gimme everything!

When I look through my saved images folder in Instagram, there seems to be a recurring theme – the interiors of Halcyon House keep popping up! And for good reason, the interiors (and exterior) by Anna Spiro are heavenly – just so well suited to its coastal location of Cabarita Beach. And now with the opening of their Day Spa, there’s even more reasons why you should visit. I can’t believe I still haven’t stayed and I’m based in Brisbane. Shame. On. Me. 2018 is going to be the year! Oh yeah.

When these rendered drawings popped up in my Instagram feed of the Pine Ave. Townhomes in Melbourne, I just swooned. I’ve been considering re-tiling my apartment’s courtyard in this exact same encaustic tile, and it just makes me love it even more now! And well, everything about these townhomes are so perfect - it’s design at its best, thanks to Cera Stribley Architects, and interior designers The Stella Collective. Want more?
