Holiday at Helia House

I was fortunate enough to stay at Helia House for a weekend recently, and wanted to share a tour of this gorgeous airbnb on the Sunshine Coast.

I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at a few fancy hotels in my time, but I have to say nothing beats staying at a fully self-contained airbnb. Having the home all to yourself creates that feeling of a home away from home and a place for privacy and tranquility. I recently stayed at Helia House at Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast and it was definitely the most beautiful, well-thought out accommodation I’ve stayed in. The attention to detail in both the interior design, and the amenities was next-level. As someone who is currently renovating my own home, I couldn’t help but look at how this home was finished off, and it’s seriously so well done. The soaring ceilings throughout make this home pretty special.

Helia House offer so many facilities – there was even a couple of cruiser bikes in the garage for you to ride around the neighborhood – and trust me, in this part of the world where there are so many beautiful homes, you’ll want to do a bit of house-stalking (one of my favourite hobbies)! The beach is just 800 metres away and Peregian Beach Village with bustling cafes and shops was just a 5 minute drive away. We recommend Skål Coffee for breakfast and drinks in the afternoon at the Peregian Beach Hotel (with a to-die-for interior)!

I was super impressed with the size of the home too – four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms (sleeps eight people), is ideal for larger families or groups of friends. With the main bedroom offering an ensuite and giant walk in robe, plus a kitchen with integrated fridge and a pantry stocked with all the basic necessities, it’s ideal for longer stays. There’s even a gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean. I hate sharing pools when staying in hotels, so it was really nice to be able to have it all to ourselves. Surrounded by lush landscaping (and the thickest, most cushy grass I’ve ever stepped on), this is the type of property that will have you feeling rejuvenated and inspired (I know I was)!
