Miss Amara Rug Styling

Changing up your living room can be as simple as switching out your rug and adding a few new styling pieces. Here’s how I’ve styled my own living room three ways with three different rugs from Miss Amara.

1 CALATA

This is my favourite style – the Calata rug from Miss Amara is a neutral brown jute rug with an ivory cotton border, that works so well with the colour tones in my living room. It blends well with the colour of the flooring and feels quite calming in this space. I’ve styled this look with really neutral coloured accessories and cushions to give a relaxed, boho feel. This rug works well in rooms that have a white and timber colour palette.

The Calata’s natural texture and tribal pattern is the perfect addition to a modern, minimal, bohemian or coastal style space.

2 BEATRICE

I love how pretty this whole look is. I’ve used the Beatrice rug from Miss Amara – it’s a beautiful transitional washable and foldable rug featuring a traditional medallion design. It is one of the softest rugs I’ve ever felt underfoot, I’d liken it to the feel of a snuggy!

Beatrice is predominantly peach in tone with brown and cream tones with subtle hints of green. This distressed style rug with elaborate motifs and ornate patterns is an elegant option for classic and vintage-style homes, but also fits in well with more modern rooms like mine. My recommendations for styling this rug are to add fresh peach-toned flowers (like these gorgeous orchids), and cushions in pink, peach and cream tones with a hint of dusty rose to warm up the look.

3 HENDRIX

The next look features Miss Amara’s Hendrix rug. This natural toned beauty features a striped pattern in warm jute with a creamy white base. Hand-made from a combination of jute, wool and cotton fibres, the Hendrix oozes California-eclectic style. To accentuate the jute tones in the rug, team it with golden accents, timber tones and a creamy white palette. It’s a really fresh looking rug, and whilst I love it in my living room, I can also imagine it working very well in a boho/coastal style bedroom.
