MODERN MEDITERRANEAN BATHROOM IDEAS

It’s the hottest interior style right now – Modern Mediterranean takes rustic materials like hand made terracotta tiles and infuses with more modern elements. Here’s a look at some bathrooms that embrace this look.

I have started house hunting (yes we will be selling soon), and whilst looking I have come across an amazing Spanish-influenced home with amazing terracotta floors and pitched timber ceiling. The bathrooms are a little dated though, and so it got me thinking – what would I do if I bought this home? Well I’d continue with the terracotta, but combine it with some more modern elements like the example of materials pictured to the left (kit kat tiles, terrazzo and definitely some concrete (perhaps in the vanity top or basin).

And then before you know it, I went down a rabbit hole on Pinterest! Here’s what is currently inspiring me and in my saved folder of images.

What do you think of this style? Is it one you would want in your own home? As a lover of lots of different design styles, I’d definitely love to explore this in a future home. Who knows, maybe it will be the next one.
