Pink Palm Springs-inspired bathroom
Floor to ceiling pink mosaic tiles run supreme in this bathroom
at holiday accommodation Casa Billie in Aldinga Beach, SA.
Co-owner of Casa Billie, Rosie King was inspired by Palm Springs when she tackled the renovation of this bathroom. “I absolutely love this bathroom,” says Rosie. “Originally the bathroom was tiny and the main bedroom was huge, so we ate into the bedroom space by about 800mm to gain space in the bathroom and I am so glad we did. It took me a long time to figure out the bathroom layout, I knew I wanted a mid-century style tiled built-in bath, but I couldn’t make it work in the space. It actually all clicked when we had started the demolition and once I stood in the empty space I could picture the curved shower and it all came together!
A custom-made walnut vanity and mirror along with a pink terrazzo benchtop complement the pink mosaic tiles from Academy Tiles. By using the same tile on the floor and walls, it has made the space feel like a cosy pink cocoon.
